Amor che a nullo amato amar perdona (Dante, Inf., 5,103)
l’amore non perdona
Con questa espressione il divino poeta si riferisce a quel genere di amore che sempre coinvolge chi è amato. È una forza prodigiosa, che non perdona chi lo riceve, perché non ammette che vi si possa rimanere impassibili: è l’amore che non risparmia chi si senta amato, perché a nessun amato concede di potervisi sottrarre e di non riamare a sua volta. Appunto perciò: “amore che a nessun amato, l’amare perdona”, ossia “amore che nell’atto stesso dell’amare, non perdona nessuno che sia amato”; un amore, quindi, purissimo, che non lascia mai immutato il suo bersaglio. Si tratta, in effetti, di una forza straordinaria, portatrice di poteri sbalorditivi, da identificarsi con la vita stessa. Come appunto l’Alighieri dichiara nell’explicit del XXXIII ed ultimo canto del Paradiso, questa forza “move il sole e l’altre stelle”, alludendo all’essenza della natura di Dio, che è Amore.
